Ampage were Sunset Strip glam/sleaze band fronted by Mark Mason, one of the many casualties of 80´s hard rock era. His addiction put this band to rest only few months after this debut release.
Album is standard sleazy effort typical for mid to late 80´s similar to bands like Motley Crue and Ratt. Although it got bad production it has certain charme and some very nice and catchy songs. Mason sounds bit like Alice Cooper or even Blackie Lawless.
Unfortunately this is a short release and who knows where this band would end up if only drugs didn´t ruined them.
Singer Mark Mason cleaned up by the mid 90´ and released couple of more records under Ampage moniker with different sound, more modern rock.
