Stygma IV are no longer active due to drummer's unability to play any more. He is facing medical problems with his back so on November 24 2005 they decided they are not going to continue with another drummer.
Günter Maier and Alexander Hilzensauer are nowadays playing in metal bands from southern Germany.Previously known as a Muddy Crutch, then Big Heat and Stigmata, the band added the appendage "IV" after the release of their first album, due to existing rights on the name by another band. After a while, they had to rename themselves again because of court ruling, since then they are known as Stygma IV.
